You are a familiar in training—an enchanted creature bound to a witch or mystic. Before you can fully bond with your witch, you must undergo Hearthbinding, a sacred time of renewal where familiars journey to Emberwood Refuge, a sanctuary hidden between realms.

Hearthbinding is both a resting and a becoming. It is a rite of passage, where a familiar must tend to their own well-being before they can fulfill their magical purpose. Just as a hearth is the heart of a home—providing warmth, protection, and light—this journey invites you to rekindle your own fire, strengthen your spirit, and find peace in the quiet magic of care.

Each day, you will meet an ancient being who will guide you through a self-care ritual inspired by old-world magic and folklore. These rituals will help restore your energy, deepen your wisdom, and prepare you for the path ahead.

Your time in Emberwood Refuge will last seven days. Each day, roll a D6 to determine which mystical attendant will guide you. Complete the ritual they assign you and reflect on the experience. At the end of your journey, you will return to your witch—stronger, wiser, and ready for the magic that awaits.
